An Egyptian dancer and actress who was born on July 27, 1905 in Cairo. She was educated in Egyptian schools, and obtained her baccalaureate degree in 1927. She learned acting by watching theatrical and acting groups that were spreading in Cairo and Alexandria. She joined the George Abyad Troupe and the Ali al-Kassar Theatrical Troupe. She performed many scenes in theater and cinema and learned the art of dance at teh age of 10. She was presented by Youssef Wehbe and Aziza Amir in the twenties. She married cinematographer Henry Michael, and they lived together until his death. She is known for The Big Clown, Mr. Bulbul, and Zeinab.
