Karem Mahmoud Abu Raya was born in Damanhour. He began his life reciting the Holy Qur’an. He sang in concerts when he was young. Togo Mizrahi discovered him as an actor after he began his life as a singer. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Arabic Music in 1944. His activity focused on singing in halls and in the cinema in the first half in the fifties. He is famous for his song "On the Love Beach". He made several artistic trips to Syria and Lebanon. He sang in the operettas: “The Good Ten” One of the Thousand Nights”, and “The Gift of Life” |
