Ismail Waly Eldeen was an Egyptian writer. He was born in 1935, and graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University in 1956, then worked as a military engineer for nearly two decades, after which he switched to writing full time. Several of his novels were adapted to film, including “Haret Bergwan” (Bergwan Alley), “Al Batneya”, “Al Aqmar” and “Abnaa' wa Qatala” (Sons and Killers). |
