Egyptian singer who emerged in the late 1980s. He began his career covering songs of famous artists, especially Abdel Halim Hafez. In the mid-1990s, he began singing original songs, but they weren't met with much success. He only sang in weddings and nightclubs, but had his big break performing in the film The Empress (1999).
