A Lebanese actor, born on November 21, 1944, in Aalay. He worked in radio, television, theater and cinema. At the age of twenty, founded the troupe The Cedar Scarf in Aalay, whose first theatrical performance was the play Fathers and Sons. In the late sixties, he was chosen by Beirut Theater Professional to play six different characters in the play The Thieves' Strike. He also participated in many plays, including: Morjan, and The Curtain. He was known for by his humorous voice in his comedy programs on the Lebanese radio. He presented many plays in which he insisted on showing people the reality of the war and its causes in Lebanon and criticized politicians, and among these plays Our Father Ayoub. Abou Chakra was afflicted with an incurable disease that made him lose his fingers, yet he did not stop writing plays. He died on October 25, 2011.
