A Kuwaiti writer, born in 1952 in Kuwait. She obtained a BA from the Department of Arabic Language at Cairo University in 1987 and a diploma in Arabic literature from Cairo University in 1989. In 1969, she joined the Kuwaiti House of Public Opinion and Al Nahda weekly magazine, where she edited a weekly column entitled "Once a Week" for several years which was also published in the English-language newspaper Daily News.
She moved to the Kuwaiti newspaper Dar Al Qabas and wrote a semi-daily article entitled "A Word to Be Spoken" for many years, in addition to supervising the cultural and literary supplement issued by Dar Al Qabas itself. She has prepared and presented several radio and television programs. She became a member of the Writers Association in Kuwait, a member of the Cultural Committee, a member of the Kuwaiti Journalists Association, and a member of the Human Rights Organization.
She participated in and contributed to many literary, intellectual, and cultural conferences, as well as women's and political conferences in Kuwait, including the Nairobi International Conference on Women, the Moscow International Conference on Women, and the India and Western Tunisia conferences. She represented Kuwait at many conferences in the Arab world and represented the Kuwait Journalists Association at the Arab Women Journalists Conference in Cairo in 1975. She published her short stories in Arab and local magazines and newspapers and participated in story evenings.
