Afterwards, he moved to...Read more LA which was a turning point in his career because he decided to quit architecture and pursue a career in film directing, which he studied at UCLA. He trained in Hollywood and Paris. He returned to Lebanon and directed his first film Vers I'inconnu (1957) which highlighted the struggles of Lebanese immigrants to America and Brazil. Other works of his include One Man Wanted (1973) and The Small Stranger (1961).
