    Toqa Hesham

    An Egyptian actor, director and writer, born in Ash Sharqia Governorate in 1915. He received his baccalaureate degree in 1932, and left veterinary medicine for the sake of art. He starred in several roles in radio, television and theater, and his beginning was by writing the movie Titawong (1937). His directing experience began through the play His Majesty (1955). He is best known for taking part in the movies Lady Sukkar, Umm Ratiba, and Love and Betrayal. He died in 1986 at the age of 71.
    Achraf Wassim

    An actor and a theatre director, who received his baccalaureate in 1932, joined the faculty of veterinary medicine and left it for his passion of art. Bedeir was also one of the most diversified script-writers who wrote for radio, TV and theatre. He was very popular in the role of Abdul-mawgood the son of the “Chief of Al Raheemeyya” in upper Egypt in front of actor Muhammad al-Tab’y. He was a consultant of the Egyptian Radio and TV and the head of the Cinema, Theatre and Music Authority. In the 1950s, he started stage directing. Among his plays are; “Habeeby Koukou i.e. My darling Koukou”, “Meraaty kamar senaa’y i.e. My wife is a satellite” and “Al-zawg al-a’asher i.e. The tenth husband”. He also directed a number of films; “’Amalekat al-behaar i.e. Giants of the seas”, “Al-zawga al-‘azraa i.e. The virgin wife”, “Al-magd i.e. Glory” and Om-Rateeba i.e. Rateeba’s mother”. Bedeir received many awards as author and script-writer among which are prizes won for films “Ana ‘Horra i.e. I am free” and “Ga’alouny mogremann i.e. I was made criminal”. He received The Medal of Science and Arts of 1st rank 1975.
