An Egyptian opera singer and actor, born in 1936. His origins goes back to the family of Muhammad Ali. He studied at Jesuit schools, then earned a Bachelor of Law from Cairo University, and studied at the Conservatoire, in addition to postgraduate studies from Italy. He began his career at the Cairo Opera House since 1963. He also worked in the aviation field, including being the director and representative of Tunisair. He starred in the opera Aida on opera theaters in the Soviet Union in 1974, to be the first Egyptian to star in the opera Aida. He participated in 270 operas over the course of his career. He was discovered by Muhammad Noah to work in the theater field. He appeared in the TV series: The Girls and Qushtamar. His film roles include: Keep Calm and Listen, Ya Muhalabiya Ya and Zaki Chan.
