A writer and journalist, born on February 21, 1930. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1954. He worked as a journalist at Dar Al-Hilal in 1958 and progressed in his work until he reached the editor-in-chief of Al-Kawakeb magazine. He wrote in Al-Wafd newspaper a satirical weekly article entitled “Hammariat”. He wrote several plays, most notably The Apple and the Skull, based on the novel of the satirical author Muhammad Afifi in 1969. He co-wrote some films, in which he also co-starred, including Fat Cats, and Tears in Laughing Eyes. Among his books are The Shock of Nudity and God's Chosen People. He passed away on October 6, 2003.
