An Egyptian journalist and author, born in 1925 in Assiut governorate. After his graduation from the Faculty of Law in 1943, he was appointed in the Public Prosecution office. He worked in the press since 1944, where he assumed many positions, including the chairman of the board of directors of Akhbar Al-Youm and editor-in-chief of Al-Akhbar newspaper. His notable literary works include: Enough My Heart and Love Also Dies, which were adapted into films. He wrote various political books, including: October War Documents, and Sadat the Truth and the Myth. He passed away on January 8, 1992.
