She was born in Cairo in a Jewish family in 1988. She started her artistic life in 1905 as a singer in the band Iskandar Farah, then she became a professional actor, and moved to the Salamah Hegazy band and from there to the band Saleem Atallah in 1910. Afterwards she joined many different groups and took many roles before 1935, including the plays: Martyrs of Love, The Famous Case and Louis XI.
