An Iraqi actress who was the sister of the actor Taha Salem. She started her career with her first theatrical work with the Al-Shula Troupe, which was founded in 1959 and was called The Theater Stars. She acted in two plays, prepared and directed by Ibrahim Al-Khatib. She moved to the Modern Artistic Theater Troupe, one of the most important theater groups in Iraq. She is known for the play Uncle Vanya, written by Anton Chekhov and directed by Abdel Wahed Taha. In 1961, she made her first appearance on television in a drama directed by Khalil Shawqi. Her other works include Years of Life (1976), The Collector (1968), and Lanterns (1968).
