An Iraqi actor and artist who was born in Baghdad in 1951. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1978 and took part in many works inside and outside Iraq. He debuted in the play The Anger, directed by Adeeb Al Qiliji. He then participated in many works, including the play A Thousand and One Trips, and the play If, which won him the award for Best Actor at the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater in 1989. He is known for the movie The Long Days. He married the actress Ghazwh Elkhalidi and had a son named Haider, who traveled with his mother to America after their separation in 1989.
