Tarek Sharkawy	Ahmed Marei is an Egyptian actor. He was born in the city of Mahalla in Elgharbeya governorate. In 1965, he graduated from the High Cinema Institute, acting branch, and joined the institute's staff as an assistant teacher. His career was mainly focused on television series in Egypt and the Arab world, specially biopics, religious and historical series like “Suleiman El Halaby,” “Mohamed El Fateh,” and “Ahmed Ibn Majid.” He is best known for his role as Wannis in Chadi Abdel Salam's historical epic “Al-mummia” (The Mummy).
