Lebanese actor and director, born in Jbeil in 1935. He appeared in many works in film, theater, television, and radio. He is considered one of the founders of Lebanese cinema. He also contributed to the founding of the Mobile Theater in 1959, as well as the establishment of the Syndicate of Actors and Film Technicians in Lebanon. He began writing Lebanese poetry in 1951. He joined more than one zajal choir, entered the Cedars Artistic Troupe, and starred in the film Memories. He has published Lebanese poetry under the title "Gossip" in 1985. He worked as a director and producer on the Lebanese Radio and Television. He also worked as a director on Al Jadeed TV. He passed away on November 26 2014 after a battle with cancer.
