Egyptian producer whose name was always closely associated with director Youssef Chahine, not only because he produced most of his films, but because they shared the same visions and even shared the same hometown and family. Gaby Khoury was born in Alexandria on 4 May 1952. Through his company (Egypt International Films), he was able to leave a clear imprint in the world of film production, perhaps due to the quality of the films he presents, most of which belong to reality cinema. He produced many of Youssef Chahine's most renowned films such as Destiny (1997), The Immigrant (1994), and Silence...We're Rolling (2001).
He also collaborated with other directors, including Yousry Nasrallah on Mercedes (1993), Khaled Youssef on The Storm (2001), and Asmaa El Bakri on Concerto in Darb Saada (1998). He produced his first TV series which was Khaled El Hagar's Shubra Rotation (2011). Khoury also produced several important documentaries about Egyptian history, culture, and cinema, such as "Akhenaten and Nefertiti", and "Ramses II".
