Toqa Hesham |
A Lebanese reviewer, born in Beirut in 1952. He began his career in film reviewing in his teens, and has been actively present in Arab cinematic culture over the last forty years. He published his articles in the most prominent Arab and non-Arab newspapers and publications. He worked as a senior editor and film critic for Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper. He has authored several books on film criticism, including The Cinema, which he publishes annually. He wrote the script for the first two Saudi films: Shadows of Silence (2006) and How Is It Going? (2006). He also presented the Cinema World program on MBC.
