Toqa Hesham |
He was born in Kfarshima in 1918. He began to work at Radio Jerusalem, as a composer and singer, when he was still a young boy. On Near East Broadcasting Station, under the direction of the Palestinian director Sabri al-Sharif, a group of talented people gathered in the early fifties and made what is called the Lebanese song. They included the Rahbanyin, Zaki Nassif, Tawfiq al-Basha, Halim al-Roumi, Wadih al-Safi, Fairuz, Sabah, Nasri Shams al-Din, along with Philemon and others. He passed away in 1985.
