He is a Lebanese director, born in Beirut, on March 23 1961. In 1977, two years after the war and the death of his father, he decided to travel with his brother to Greece and then traveled to London, where he studied graphic design. Tamba worked in the advertisement field between Paris and London for a long time before entering the field of directing and experiencing the cinematic field for the first time. He began his career by making the documentary film, Beirut: The Barbers of This City (1997), before directing the two short films Congrats Again (1999) and After Shave (2004), which won the Cesar Prize. The film Melodrama Habibi was Tamba's debut feature, which won the Audience Award at the Brussels European Film Festival.
