Shaimaa Saied |
A Lebanese actor, born in Beirut. He began his career in theater in 1960. He became famous for his character Abu Al Abd Al Beiruti, which he played in many plays and series. This character combined chivalry and wit, and quickly gained huge popularity among the Lebanese and Arab public. He received many awards and honors, including the Best Actor Award at the Damascus Film Festival in 1973. Some of his credits include The Guard's Daughter (1967), Yes and No (2007), and The Teacher and the Professor (1980). He died on 29 January 2009, after a long struggle with illness. |
