Add/Update Information: Mamdouh Adwan - Writer

A Syrian writer and poet born in Hama, Syria. He obtained a degree in English literature from the University of Damascus. He began working at Al Thawra newspaper in 1964, and by then he had started publishing his poetry in several Arab magazines. He was also a member of the Arab Writers Association as well as the Arab and Syrian Journalists Associations. His TV works include Al Zier Salim (2000) and Circle of Fire (1988), and his work in theater includes Pacifist on Trial (1972). He was honored by several festivals, including Damascus Theater Festival. He died on 19 December 2004.
