His father is director and playwright Fouad Al Shatti, his mother is actress and presenter Souad Hussein, and his aunts are Huda Hussein, Sahar Hussein, Najat Hussein, and the late Ibtesam Hussein, who have worked on television, stage, and radio in the fields of acting, writing, directing, producing and costume designing. His brothers Ahmed and Aws also work in the theater, acting and directing. He studied Mass Communication. Among his works are the plays Ghazlan and the King of Mice, and A Family of Pure Gold.
