An Iraqi director, who began his career as an actor in Iraqi drama, where he acted in series, such as The Wolf and the Eyes of the City (1980). He then turned to television directing, where he directed a number of Iraqi and Arab series. He worked in Saudi Arabia for several years at ARA Art Production company, in which he directed many television series, including Mirrors, as well as some patriotic songs by artist Mohammed Abdu. He also worked in Beirut as director of the MBC channel office for several years, after which he moved to reside in Syria, where he directed several television series, including The Night of Secrets and Ragaha. He was killed on December 8, 2007 as he was about to enter his office in central Damascus, by being stabbed in the neck, back and heart 17 times.
