Ahmed Farrag appeared on Egyptian television as soon as it opened in 1960, to present his most famous program "Light on Light". He presented more than a thousand episodes of it during which he interviewed hundreds of Islamic personalities, preachers and scholars. In the nineties, Ahmed Farrag worked as an advisor to the former Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Sedky. He died in 2006 at Dar Al Fouad Hospital in Cairo, due to a sudden heart attack.
