Biography

An Egyptian journalist, born in Dakahlia Governorate in 1932. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University in 1954, and joined the Institute of Political Science. He joined the Egyptian radio and presented during that period the program "The Police in the Service...Read more of the People". Ahmed Farrag appeared on Egyptian television as soon as it opened in 1960, to present his most famous program "Light on Light". He presented more than a thousand episodes of it during which he interviewed hundreds of Islamic personalities, preachers and scholars. In the nineties, Ahmed Farrag worked as an advisor to the former Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Sedky. He died in 2006 at Dar Al Fouad Hospital in Cairo, due to a sudden heart attack.
