A Syrian journalist, writer, and actor. He was born in Latakia, Syria. He was the father of the artist Bassem Yakhour. He worked in the field of investigative journalism, then worked as a broadcaster on Syrian television between 1986 and 2003, where he prepared and presented many programs. He also trained at the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) network. In addition to publishing his investigations in Syrian newspapers and magazines, he wrote several television series and obtained a certificate in screenwriting in 2016 from the New York Film Academy. He also participated in acting in many films, series, and television evenings, including A Man's Disappearance (1992), Happy Ending (1996), and Destiny (1997). He passed away on February 1, 2023.
