A storyteller and playwright, born on August 16, 1943, in Qalqilya, Palestine. He moved with his family to Damascus following the 1948 Catastrophe and has remained there to date. He received a university degree from the Faculty of Arts in Damascus, Department of Arabic Language....Read more He worked many jobs before working in journalism. He established the Palestinian National Theater in Damascus in 1973, and he worked as a writer and director, presenting his play The Story of this Neighborhood in Damascus and Baghdad, and then the children's play Excellent, Champion at Al-Qabbani Theater in Damascus in 2011. He received many awards for his creative works, including the first prize for his famous TV series Levantine Days shared with another Egyptian series in Cairo. Moreover, some of his works have been translated to several languages.
