Manal Khaled is an Egyptian director who studied philosophy and took courses in directing, script, and art criticism. She started her career in documentaries and short fiction cinema. Afterwards, she worked in feature cinema through Misr International Films Company, where she worked as an assistant director with a number of directors, such as Kamla Abouzekri and Hani Khalifa. She filmed and directed her first documentary film "From Gaza in Palestine" in 2008. Manal has been working on Egyptian television since 1993. She is known for The String (2010), and Double Faces (2006).
