A Syrian writer, born in the city of Ma'arrat Misrin, Idlib, Syria in 1952. He obtained a degree in economic sciences from the University of Aleppo in 1976. He has written collections of short stories, many books, and various television and radio series. His literary works are characterized by sarcasm, and he writes his radio and television works in a comedic style. Some of his credits include Characters on Paper (2004), Those Days (1999) and Al Qamar Square (2005).
