A Syrian singer and actress, born in Aleppo in 1930. Her father studied directing in Jerusalem and founded the Catholic Theater Club in Aleppo in 1945, where she began acting in translated international plays. She was the main singer in the church singing group. Then Antoine Zabita, director of the music department at Aleppo Radio, heard her voice and asked her to sing on Syrian Radio in Aleppo, which was the launch of her career. She began singing translated songs accompanied by music, and these songs were translated into classical Arabic. She performed different types of singing, including patriotic songs, religious songs, and children’s songs. Some of her credits include The Borders (1984), Salt Alley (1980) and Dahlia Leaves (1990). She died in 1988.
