An Iraqi writer and director, born in Baghdad. He joined the Academy of Fine Arts and prestigious artistic troupes as a student of the great Iraqi art masters at the time, such as the late Khalil Shawqi. He was forced to immigrate outside Iraq to resume his artistic career. He went to Canada, but he continued his artistic activities in Arab countries, so he presented his works in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Syria. His most prominent works include the play Mortgage with the Modern Art Troupe in 1984, and he won the Best Writer Award. He also directed the plays The Wolf and Outskirts of the City, among other works. |
