An Omani director, born in 1965 in Muscat. He was interested in cinema from a young age and moved to Cairo to study at the High Cinema Institute, graduating in 1989, then he returned to work in his homeland, participating in many dramas, programs, and television movies before presenting the movie Album in 2006, which was the first feature film in the history of the Sultanate. He heads the Omani Society for Cinema, in addition to being an advisor to the Public Authority for Radio and Television in the Sultanate of Oman. He directed his second feature film, Aseel, through which he became the most prominent filmmaker in his homeland.
