A Palestinian actor, director, and writer, born in 1962 in Jerusalem. He is known as a notable figure in the Palestinian theater. He participated as an actor in 32 plays and as a director in 33 plays. He also wrote 18 plays, translated 8 plays, and participated in several art...Read more workshops, in addition to supervising several theatrical courses. Kamel received several awards as an actor, most notably the Volpi Cup for Best Actor from the 2017 Venice Film Festival in 2017 for his role in the movie The Insult. He is a founding member of the Palestinian Theater Workers Association and a member of the Palestinian Writers Union.
