Egyptian director, born in 1935. He was the head of the Egyptian Recording Union. He began working in the documentary cinema in 1966. In 1967, he directed films about the war operations on the Eastern Front. He worked in Iraq in 1973, and contributed to recording some combat operations on the northern front “Syria” during the battles of the October War. He also directed the movie “The Silence Falls” in 1974 about the Dhofar rebels, and a group of documentary films, the most important of which was "Iraqi Action Song" in 1977. In the same year, he directed his first feature film Experience, in which he represented a number of Iraqi artists, including: Fadel Khalil and Sami Kaftan.
