An Egyptian singer, born in Sharqia Governorate on May 15, 1930. She came to Cairo with her family and because of her strong love for singing, she applied to join the Odeon Record Company. She met music historian Khalil Al Masry, who liked her. They got married and had one daughter. She is known for When Fate Smiles (1953), Abraha's Expedition on the Sacred Kaaba (1957), and Lovers' Call (1960). She passed away in 1992. |
