Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an American actor best known as Denny Duquette in "Grey's Anatomy," the patriarchal John Winchester on "Supernatural," and The Comedian in "Watchmen" (2009). Before pursuing an acting career, Morgan committedly played basketball throughout high school and college, and then worked as a graphic artist. He's acted in two films with Oscar-winner Hilary Swank as the romantic lead in "P.S. I Love You" (2007) and in the stalker thriller "The Resident" (2011). He also starred in the critically acclaimed film "Kabluey" (2007) about a wife, with a husband serving in Iraq, is in danger of losing her benefits if she does not return to work. Critics praised the film for its social commentary around American culture and the Iraq War. He acted in two episodes of "Weeds," as the deceased husband of suburban drug dealer soccer mom Nancy Botwin, played by Mary-Louise Parker to whom Morgan was engaged in 2008. Morgan is now married to "One Tree Hill" star Hilarie Burton. They have one child. |
