Liev Schreiber is an American actor, screenwriter and director who was born in San Francisco, California on the 4th of October, 1967.
Following (high school), Schreiber enrolled at Hampshire College. He began his training as an actor at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst through the Five Colleges consortium that includes Hampshire College. Later, he earned a master’s degree from the Yale School of Drama in 1992. Schreiber also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
Schreiber came to public attention during the late 1990s and early 2000s. His successful role in the “Scream” trilogy paved the way for his participation in several big budget titles. He has since then appeared in several well known titles such as “The Sum of All Fears”, “The Manchurian Candidate” and “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”.
Among the highlights of his career was his role as Orson Wells in HBO’s “RKO 281”. That performance earned Schreiber a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy nomination.
Schreiber has also been successful as a stage actor taking part in several Broadway shows. He received a Tony award for his role in the play “Glengarry Glen Ross”.
