He is an American actor, director, writer, and musician, born in New York City in 1935. At the beginning of his life, he worked as a stand-up comedian on stage. In 1965, he wrote his first movie, What's New Pussycat. Afterwards, he had his directorial debut with the movie, What's Up, Tiger Lily? He gained success with the movie Take the Money and Run (1969). Allen then presented many successful films, including Annie Hall (1977), which won him an Oscar for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. He also won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) and Midnight in Paris (2011). |
