He is an Egyptian author and poet, was born on June 20, 1922 in Minya. Because of his father’s work on the railways, the family moved to Sohag, and after four and a half years the family came to Cairo. He joined a school in Mubagaden in which Adel Imam went to then joined the Khedivial School. After obtaining high school, he joined the Faculty of Arts, Department of Philosophy. He did not complete his studies there until after he was over forty years old, due to his early fame. He started his life as an editor in Rosal Youssef, then a journalist. His success journey continued until his balance of songs reached 1200 emotional, popular and patriotic songs. |
