A Kuwaiti film director, he holds a master’s degree in film and television directing from the University of Bristol, England, in 2008. He is a professor of television at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Kuwait. He won the State Prize in Film Direction twice, in 2011 for the film Harmony and in 2015 for the film He was My Friend. In addition to 3 international film awards for the film Peace in England in 2009 and 2010. In 2014, he directed and produced the first feature film, entitled He was My Friend, which was shown in Kuwaiti cinemas for 6 weeks and achieved great success as it was shown in Gulf cinemas. He was selected for the official participation in the 36th Cairo International Film Festival in the Horizons of Arab Cinema competition. In 2016, he produced and directed his second feature film, Ateeg which was shown in Kuwaiti and Gulf cinemas at the same time. It participated in the 38th Cairo International Film Festival, the Horizons of Arab Cinema competition.
