Shaimaa Saied |
A Syrian actor who is considered one of the pioneers of the cinematic movement in Syria. He studied cinematography in France and began his career with a series of documentary films, the most important of which were The Teacher and Levantine Wedding. He directed two narrative films, The Knife (1971) and Forbidden Love (1976). He supervised the work of the Army Studio at the beginning of its establishment and was in charge of managing the film production affairs at the National Film Organization. His credits include Ayoub the Sea (1998), The Camel (1999) and Saif Ibn Ze Yazan (2003). |
