John C. Reilly is a multitalented Hollywood man: singer, comedian and actor of the stage and screen. Reilly is one of many actors whose career was launched by Brian De Palma, who directed him in his film debut "Casualties of War" (1989). Reilly then notably starred alongside Mark Wahlberg in "Boogie Nights" (1997) directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, whom he collaborated with a number of times throughout the 1990s. In 2002, Reilly appeared in three of the year's Oscar nominees for Best Picture: "Chicago," "Gangs of New York" and "The Hours." He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "Chicago," the hit adaptation of the femme fatale musical spectacle. These films proved Reilly's undeniable versatility and charm. In 2004, he starred in Scorsese's "The Aviator." In 2006, Reilly teamed up with comedy king Will Ferrell in the endlessly funny "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" as Cal Naughton Jr., the title character's best friend. He reunited with Ferrell on "Step Brothers" (2008), gracing screens with their hilarious banter once again. Reilly's other film credits include "A Prairie Home Companion" (2006), "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" (2007), "9" (2009), the down-to-earth romantic comedy "Cyrus" (2010), and the haunting psychological horror "We Need to Talk About Kevin" (2012). Reilly is also an accomplished stage actor, with turns in "The Grapes of Wrath" on Broadway, and "True West," for which he earned an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Tony nomination. Reilly voiced the titular character in the acclaimed animated hit "Wreck-It Ralph" (2012).
