An American actor and producer, born Nicolas Kim Coppola on January 7, 1964, in Long Beach, California. He is the nephew of legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. After high school, he made his film debut with a small role in the cult classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982).
In his long career, Cage has often been a hit or miss actor, with critical and box office successes and absolute flops sometimes hitting theaters in the same year. Some of his best work can be seen in Moonstruck (1987), Raising Arizona (1987), Face/Off (1997) and Adaptation. (2002).
He won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a SAG award for Leaving Las Vegas (1995). He was previously married to Patricia Arquette, and Lisa Marie Presley.
