A British actor and writer of South African descent. At the age of thirteen, he joined the circus. Jason spent a decade working as a production manager, after which he worked on a number of productions as a screenwriter and actor. He was chosen for the leading role in the movie District 9 (2009), then his work continued, the most famous of which are Doomsday (2008), Dredd (2012), Chappie (2015), and Queen Sono (2020).

Jason Cope is a South African actor who most recently appeared in “District 9”. Cope played a variety of roles in that movie including that of alien “Christopher Johnson”. Cope also voiced several characters and portrayed one of the film’s narrators among other tasks. Cope was initially trained as a magician and did a variety of professional performances. He also spent some time working in stand-up comedy and wrote for and acted in a popular TV comedy show titled “The Pure Monate Show”.
