Born on 29 December 1972, Balwisham London England, Judd began his life at the National Youth Theatre at the age of 12. When he turned 17, he appeared on Television Granada. In 1992, he attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He started off his career starring in some plays across London and was nominated for the Lawrence Olivier Award after starring in the play Les Parents Terribles (1994). He then went on to star in many independent films. His first big film was Gattaca (1997) opposite Uma Thurman. His role in The Talented Mr. Ripley in 1999 was a cause of great fame. He learned to play saxophone for the part. Jude married Sadie Frost in 1997 and then separated from her in 2003, after having three children. He also starred in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), Hugo (2011), Captain Marvel (2019)
