Shaimaa Saied |
A Japanese writer, who studied English literature at Tokyo Imperial University, Japan. He began writing and publishing while he was still a university student. Some of his credits include Rashomon (1950) and Bijo to Touzoku (1952). He took his own life on July 24, 1927. His friend, the writer and publisher Kan Kikuchi, launched a literary award in his name, the Akutagawa Prize. |
