Anthony Mackie is an American actor who was born on September 23, 1979, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, and then he graduated from the drama program at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Mackie began his film career in 2002 opposite Eminem in “8 mile." He scored his first lead role in the short film “Crossing” in 2003. Mackie played slain rapper Tupac Shakur in 2009's "Notorious." His other film credits include "Million Dollar Baby" (2004), "The Hut Locker" (2008), "Real Steel" (2011), "The Adjustment Bureau" (2011), "Man on a Ledge" (2012) and "Gangster Squad" (2012).
