Egyptian composer, musician, and visual artist, born in Tahta in 1922. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek, Department of Painting. He also obtained a diploma in painting from the Institute of Education for Teachers, and a bachelor’s degree and diploma in education and psychology. He worked as a painter, artistic director, and secretary for the Al Qessa magazine. He also worked in the Sout Al Omma newspaper. He published about thirty short stories in both the magazine and the newspaper. In 1961, he worked for Egyptian television in editing and preparing artistic programs and presented about 500 programs. He prepared, directed, and wrote the scripts for 27 documentary films for Egyptian television in a series entitled “With Great Arab Artists and Famous Painters and Artists of Egypt.” He published several critical books, including "The Golden Book Series", "The Wizard of Pots, the Artist Saeed Al-Sadr", and "Studies in Criticism of Fine Arts". He won several awards and accolades, such as an award on the occasion of the opening of the Library of Alexandria. He died on 3 January 2007.
