Biography
Egyptian lyricist, playwright, TV writer, and critic, who was born in 1938 in Al Ghar, Zagazig, Sharqia Governorate. He was the brother of Mohamed Negm. He worked as a mathematics teacher in French at El Horreya Preparatory School in Azbakeya, Cairo. He also taught at the King...Read more Saud Anjal Institute in Saudi Arabia. He wrote many plays for the Theater House, including Storyteller Nights. He wrote a number of songs, including "Ya Habiby Ya Amar". He also wrote several plays for the private sector, including The Lucky, and wrote many songs in most of Mohamed Negm's plays. He wrote the series And Love Returned, in addition to many programs and radio series. He also worked as a critic for Al Shorouk International newspaper. He died on September 24, 2017.
