A Syrian writer and actor, born in Sarabion, Latakia in 1944. He entered the world of literature when he was in his third year at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus when he began editing the newspaper Al-Baath in 1970. Shortly thereafter, he began writing for newspapers and magazines such as Al-Falaheen, Youth Union, and the Women’s Union magazine.
After that, he moved to radio and television and assumed the position of head of the radio text formatting and reading department in 1979. In the same year, he was presenting the program Our Green Land, and then he moved to Latakia Governorate in 1984 to work in Al Wehda newspaper as the newspaper’s director.
He was a member of the Union of Arab Writers and Journalists, and among his notable written works are "Satirical Comedy". Among the important newspapers in which he had his own style are Al-Bayan and Al Wehda. Among his credits are The Cheetah (1972) and Ayoub the Sea (1998). He died on September 10, 2008 in Latakia after a long illness.
